Palm Sunday

A Journey Toward Resurrection and Renewal

As Easter draws near, we are invited into more than a holiday—we are drawn into the greatest story ever told. It's a story written in blood, mercy, and victory. And it begins not at the empty tomb, but at the cross.

With the arrival of Palm Sunday, our church family has been reflecting on seven powerful sayings Jesus spoke from the cross—short phrases, yet overflowing with eternal significance. They are not cries of defeat, but declarations of divine purpose. The cross, though brutal, was not silent. The cross speaks.

A Glimpse at the Sayings That Still Speak

Take a moment and listen to just two of these powerful statements:

"Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34, CSB)

These were Jesus’ first words as He was nailed to the cross. Not words of blame, but mercy. He asked for the forgiveness of His executioners—interceding even in suffering. And in doing so, He revealed the heart of the gospel: forgiveness for the undeserving.

"It is finished." (John 19:30, CSB)

These three words are perhaps the most powerful ever spoken. They were not whispered in weakness, but declared in triumph. Jesus had completed the work of redemption. The debt of sin was paid. The mission was fulfilled. The cross was not a loss—it was the victory.

And there are five more like these—each one a window into Jesus’ mission and a mirror for our own hearts.

Join Us This Palm Sunday – April 13, 2025

As we step into Holy Week, we invite you to worship with us this Palm Sunday, a day that marks Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. The crowds cried “Hosanna,” not knowing that in just days, He would be crucified. But we know—and that’s why we remember.

This Palm Sunday will be more than palm branches and praises. It will be a time to reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross and to prepare our hearts for the celebration of resurrection to come.

If the sayings from the cross revealed His heart in death, the statements after the resurrection reveal His power in life. In this series, we will hear what the Risen Jesus says to a broken world, and what He says to you.

Here’s a preview:

"Peace be with you." (John 20:19, CSB)
To fearful disciples hiding behind locked doors, Jesus speaks peace. Not just the end of conflict, but the wholeness and security that only He can give.

"Go therefore and make disciples..." (Matthew 28:19, CSB)
From the empty tomb, Jesus sends us into the world. The resurrection is not the end—it’s the beginning of the church’s mission.

As has been done this past week via email and next week as well, we’ll uncover a statement of the risen Savior—words that restore faith, inspire courage, and remind us that Jesus is still speaking.

Come Hear Him Speak

Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for years or you’re just beginning to seek, this season is for you. The cross is for you. The empty tomb is for you. And the words of Jesus still call to every heart:

“Come to me... and I will give you rest.”
“Follow me.”
“I am the resurrection and the life.”

You’re invited.

To Palm Sunday.
To Easter.
To the Savior who still speaks.

Plan your visit today. Bring a friend. Come with expectation.
Let this Easter be more than a tradition—let it be transformation.
